Bob & Debbie Beyerlein's 2008 Crystal Red Metallic Coupe
Bob started his Corvette life in 1978, buying a
1962 at the Bloomington Gold Auction. The day after getting it home he
found there were six tail lights, rotted axle straps and many other things that
were deteriorated. It was sold to a buyer about 200 miles away. He
then bought a new 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette. After selling it in
1998 (for a nice profit) he got a 1996 black LT4 Coupe with low miles and a
black interior. After retiring from Deere & Company in Moline, Illinois at
the end of 2001 it was traded for a new 2002 Torch Red loaded 6 speed
Convertible. Then in early 2006 that one was traded for a new 2006 Victory
Red Paddle Shift Convertible. In March of 2008 it was traded on a new 2008
Crystal Red 6 Speed Coupe that has all of the toys, and was delivered at the
National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Debbie could care less
about Corvettes until the 2002 and has liked them since. She has been
known to take an occasional nap on trips. Her explanation: "It is so
comfortable". The last major trip in the 2008 was on Route 66 in August of
2008. From Flagstaff, Arizona to Sedona, Arizona and the Canyon trip was
breath taking. Then to Phoenix and Scottsdale and the return trip was then
under way. In August of 2009 Bob & Debbie went with other Club members to
Detroit, Michigan for the Woodward Dream Cruise which is truly a remarkable
automotive event.
